Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Arusha
Airport, followed by a scenic drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Nestled at the base
of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is renowned for its breathtaking scenery,
lush groundwater forests, and diverse wildlife. Enjoy an exciting game drive as you
search for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, baboons, and the famous tree
climbing lions. Lake Manyara is also a paradise for bird lovers, with thousands of
flamingos and numerous other bird species found along the lakeshore. After enjoying a
picnic lunch within the park, continue your afternoon game drive before driving to your
lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

and descend approximately 600 metres into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. This
UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to one of Africa’s highest concentrations of
wildlife, offering an excellent opportunity to spot the Big Five, including the endangered
black rhino. During your game drive, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes,
zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, hippos, gazelles, and a remarkable variety of birdlife, all
thriving within the crater’s unique ecosystem. A picnic lunch will be served at one of the
scenic picnic sites near the hippo pool before you continue exploring the crater floor. In
the afternoon, ascend the crater and return to your lodge for dinner and a restful
overnight stay.
