warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide before continuing your journey
towards Lake Manyara National Park. Located beneath the dramatic Great Rift Valley
escarpment, Lake Manyara is known for its beautiful scenery, lush groundwater forests,
open grasslands, and the alkaline lake that attracts a variety of bird species, including
large numbers of flamingos. During your game drive, you will have the opportunity to

supporting an incredible concentration of animals within its volcanic walls. During your
game drive on the crater floor, you may encounter the Big Five, including the
endangered black rhino, as well as lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests,
hyenas, hippos, and a variety of bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the scenic
locations inside the crater before continuing your exploration. Later in the afternoon,
ascend from the crater and return to Karatu for dinner and overnight relaxation.
